Funding Application

Stephie’s Choice Foundation is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and young adults with special needs. If you or someone you care for requires support, please complete the application form below and our team will carefully review your request.

Funding Criteria

Stephie’s Choice Foundation’s mission is to make a positive difference in people’s lives through living in the moment. The Foundation can provide one off limited funding towards simple pleasures that would enable a child or adult with special needs the resource to live life in the moment.

To fulfill the Foundation’s Purpose, the key areas that funding will be considered are…
  • •For disadvantaged children with disabilities who cannot afford or obtain specialist educational resources – relief is provided in the form of funding for educational resources. The aim being to help these children to live a good quality of life through having access to meaningful educational resources.
  • For people with disabilities who cannot afford or do not have access to recreational facilities – relief is provided in the form of organizing and funding daily activities. The aim being to help these people to live a good quality of life without suffering and distress, through having access to meaningful recreational and social experiences. •
  • For disadvantaged people whose lives are impacted each day and have dependence on external resources to function e.g. kids with Ataxia, Dystonia, or Sclerosis who are wheelchair bound and do not have the funding to be chaperoned out to a special function or treat like a movie or show. Relief for such people takes the form of funding for the pickup, chaperoning, event costs for the special function / treat. •

Application Process

  • Once the applicant or their representative has submitted their application, it will be reviewed by the Board of Management. The Board will determine if the funding application aligns with the Foundation’s mission and the Foundation’s ability to fulfill the request. After review, the applicant will be notified of the outcome of their funding application. •
